Attempts to improve my health and fitness continue. Run/walk sessions around the park get a little easier each time, and people are beginning to notice the change in me.
These sessions are made more interesting by the recent appearance of a bearded monk (yes - a monk) trotting around the perimeter in full Habit and trainers; a large key and silver cross making a tinkling sound as they dangle together from his belt. With his presence and the grave stones from the cemetery visible in the background; I'm beginning to feel a little unnerved. This is especially so when I'm rounding the corner by the church; and behind me all I can hear are his foot-steps, his heavy breathing, and that crucifix ringing in my ears. Eek.
So, I'm relieved to see A Lard Off My Mind, written by the splendid Anna Pickard and other blogger people. At least now I don't feel so alone in my long journey back to fitness and health ; and they may even have some advice for me on banishing those chased-by-a-monk horrors I've been having in the middle of the night.

Glad the run/walking is going well. That's how I started running, and a couple of years later, I was running a half marathon! Just keep at it...

Ta A. Just amazing how quickly one becomes unfit.. and how actually one starts to feel a whole lot better after just a short period of effort.
